My favorite in-class experience as a CS student was building/presenting my Programming Languages final project. In short, it was a program that solved a fundamental math problem from a class I was taking concurrently. I really enjoyed taking a concept from outside computer science and working it into a functional program. My most memorable out-of-class computing experience was showcasing another project I had worked on, this one being a proof of concept UI library I had built during my first internship. After my presentation I received a lot of great feedback from employees at the company, several of them stating how they were looking forward to seeing parts of the project come to fruition. As of writing this, I’ve been working for the company part-time for about five months now and seeing some of my work go live has been a very rewarding experience.
